Term 4 in full swing

Term 4 has started and is now already in full swing.

Most of the classes are really full and waiting-lists are prepared for the next year already, so if you wish to be included on one of those or if you already wish to enroll for 2016, I suggest you let me know as soon as. I am a 1 woman show and have not found a way to duplicate myself yet :)

Expressions of interest into the weekly after school classes are taken. These classes are getting more and more popular and are now on first come first in basis.

Exciting things happening !

School holidays are about to start.... I am running the holiday art program again, some days are already completely booked out, so a reminder to book these earlier rather than last minute as they become more and more sought after.

Also .... for next term: the children will be working on some exciting projects that I have arranged to be exhibited in the July holidays. They will be part of a joined exhibit with children from another school at the Mount. It is going to be very special and a great opportunity for the children to experience this at such an early stage in their artistic adventure. Invite all your family and friends ! (more details will follow of course throughout term 2)

The Studio is open again as of today.

I am back, full of inspiration and with lots to do , 2013 here I come !!!

Kids Holiday Program is starting next week and the workshops are open for registration. The Saturday Workshops have the go-ahead when I have 4 people sign up, so get your friend or Mum or daughter or partner and let's get CREATIVE !

This year 2012 has been a great year, it was a big step for us to leave Christchurch behind and take a plunge into another unknown, but it made me find this studio back in March, from where I started teaching many fun art lessons and workshops, and where I also have met so many lovely new people on the way ! I feel blessed with all that has happened and look forward to a new year with more possibillities and more great art play ! Thanks you all so much for your support during the year ! For now have a merry Christmas and a wonderful start to a creative and succesful 2013

Spring Holidays

The Spring holidays have started ! 

Don't forget to check the galleries for the finished projects of the children that have done their Term art lessons too ! 

And of course now, I will be adding all the wonderful things that are being created during these holidays. Enjoy !

 One more week and the school holidays are here again !

Classes are being wrapped up, projects finished off and brushes cleaned (do check the student gallery to admire the works :) Ready for the studio to start the Holiday Art Program again these holidays. If your kids are keen or budding artists, sign them up !

Backgroundz Buzz

The classes are well on their way and most students have been working away on backgrounds.They are all looking very promising, check out the gallery here for all the wip shots (work-in-progress photos)

Term 3 takes off

The new schoolterm has taken off and the kids in the after school classes are working hard.

We are making a larger work this term in steps, this means there are less pictures to be shared or rather some w-i-p's (works in progress) The Tuesday class has produced some paintings already, do check out the gallery for those pictures of their finished works. And the adult classes are going strong, it looks like one or two new timeslots will open for them soon as well :)

End of Term - C'mon Holidays !

Term 2 has finished and so have the books, they turned out great, check out the NEW student galleries (find the tabs above, I had to grow them with all the marvelous art that's been made !)

Now we are ready for the holidays, some rest, some relaxation, some play, maybe even Art-play? There are holiday sessions throughout these two weeks from the studio at the Historic Village, why not come along too ? Term 3 schedules are up as well, please find details HERE

This week we're making sweet things during the classes, so grab a cup of coffee and tea and something nice to have with it while you check our gallery. Otherwise you might get a bit hungry ! :) Enjoy the many yummie things the kids turned into beautiful mixed media pages.
