Term 4 in full swing

Term 4 has started and is now already in full swing.

Most of the classes are really full and waiting-lists are prepared for the next year already, so if you wish to be included on one of those or if you already wish to enroll for 2016, I suggest you let me know as soon as. I am a 1 woman show and have not found a way to duplicate myself yet :)

Term 2

The term has now started and all students are busy getting into their first projects......stay tuned !

Term 3 has begun

Term 3 classes started this week and this term the children will learn solid basic skills and techniques just like the adults do in their weekly classes. We started with mixing our own colours, how fun ! They will also make a painting/wallhanging build up in layers.

School holiday program is up !

The Program schedule for Term 3 will be up closer towards the school holidays.

Expressions of interest into the weekly after school classes are taken. These classes are getting more and more popular and are now on first come first in basis.

Exciting things happening !

School holidays are about to start.... I am running the holiday art program again, some days are already completely booked out, so a reminder to book these earlier rather than last minute as they become more and more sought after.

Also .... for next term: the children will be working on some exciting projects that I have arranged to be exhibited in the July holidays. They will be part of a joined exhibit with children from another school at the Mount. It is going to be very special and a great opportunity for the children to experience this at such an early stage in their artistic adventure. Invite all your family and friends ! (more details will follow of course throughout term 2)

Term 3 takes off

The new schoolterm has taken off and the kids in the after school classes are working hard.

We are making a larger work this term in steps, this means there are less pictures to be shared or rather some w-i-p's (works in progress) The Tuesday class has produced some paintings already, do check out the gallery for those pictures of their finished works. And the adult classes are going strong, it looks like one or two new timeslots will open for them soon as well :)

End of Term - C'mon Holidays !

Term 2 has finished and so have the books, they turned out great, check out the NEW student galleries (find the tabs above, I had to grow them with all the marvelous art that's been made !)

Now we are ready for the holidays, some rest, some relaxation, some play, maybe even Art-play? There are holiday sessions throughout these two weeks from the studio at the Historic Village, why not come along too ? Term 3 schedules are up as well, please find details HERE

This week we're making sweet things during the classes, so grab a cup of coffee and tea and something nice to have with it while you check our gallery. Otherwise you might get a bit hungry ! :) Enjoy the many yummie things the kids turned into beautiful mixed media pages. 

Also in the journals this week we've been 'baking' cupcakes

For the last class of the term we made Altered bottles.

A great way to recycle something into a decorative object.

The idea was to decoupage (collage papers onto) the bottles first 

and then make our own labels. Of course there were some interesting result to show off.Now off to find those Easter eggs !

workshops up and running

I haven't been here for a while, I have been pre-occupied and busy with the preparations and running of my workshops. I am doing some Kids art classes after school again (see the Gallery for some cool stuff they make !) and the on-line Fresco workshop is now already in it's 6th week and going well ! It takes a lot of work filming and editing. I have a new found admiration for everybody that makes cool videos for on-line tutorials and workshops ♥  There is still time to sign up for the Fresco classes, I will be available for guidance and help in the classroom until 1st August. You'll get access to all rooms and the material (video and text) and the opportunity to share your experiences with the other Fresco students as well. Join us in the fun !
