The studio at the Historic Village is closed until the 13th January, please find below the schedule for the Holiday Summer Art classes for kids later this month.

There will also be an Encaustic Workshop on 17th January from 10 am - 4 pm suitable for young adults/adults, for more details follow THIS link

Term 2

The term has now started and all students are busy getting into their first projects......stay tuned !

and a series of exciting Saturday workshops have been planned as well. Register for these now, because places are limited !

2014 Term 1 classes about to start !

I hope you all had a lovely break over Christmas and the New Year ! 

Schools have all started about now and the first week here in New Zealand sees the celebration of Waitangi Day of course on Thursday, which means I have decided to start the term classes the following week. 11 February will be the first after school class for the Tuesday group, 12 February for the Wednesday group etc. All class dates can be found HERE There are just a few spots left, so if you haven't made up your mind yet, don't take too long and contact me HERE

For my adult classes, I will have the Wednesday Evening 7 pm - 9 pm and Friday morning 10 am - 12 noon available for casual sessions now, contact me as previously when you intend to come. Thursday morning class and evening classes are for weekly students only.

Encaustic Workshop scheduled

"Wave" - full encaustic work on cradled panel - 8x12 inch

On Saturday 19 October you will be able to play with hot wax and create your own work of art in this exciting medium ! 
(21 September is already fully booked)

Term 3 has begun

Term 3 classes started this week and this term the children will learn solid basic skills and techniques just like the adults do in their weekly classes. We started with mixing our own colours, how fun ! They will also make a painting/wallhanging build up in layers.

The Program schedule for Term 3 will be up closer towards the school holidays.

Expressions of interest into the weekly after school classes are taken. These classes are getting more and more popular and are now on first come first in basis.

Exciting things happening !

School holidays are about to start.... I am running the holiday art program again, some days are already completely booked out, so a reminder to book these earlier rather than last minute as they become more and more sought after.

Also .... for next term: the children will be working on some exciting projects that I have arranged to be exhibited in the July holidays. They will be part of a joined exhibit with children from another school at the Mount. It is going to be very special and a great opportunity for the children to experience this at such an early stage in their artistic adventure. Invite all your family and friends ! (more details will follow of course throughout term 2)

The Studio is open again as of today.

I am back, full of inspiration and with lots to do , 2013 here I come !!!

Kids Holiday Program is starting next week and the workshops are open for registration. The Saturday Workshops have the go-ahead when I have 4 people sign up, so get your friend or Mum or daughter or partner and let's get CREATIVE !

Snowmen Angels and Xmas a-coming

We have started toget ready for Christmas. Painted some Snowmen, Angels, a reindeer a Santa and we have just finished making very cool snowmen (and an Angel !) dolls on jars, they look like snowglobes almost. Check out the gallery for all the wonderful creations !
