Thumbs Up Kids !

Look what the kids have painted in their latest lesson :
Cardboard storage boxes ! They all started with a plain white cardboard box and after practising facial dimensions, they all made a portrait on the front of their box. Look here at one of the proud girls showing off her finished work :)
Well done Kate !

Tuesday

Term 3 - a House box

I know it has been a while since I posted here. No big excuse other than that it's been a bit hectic with the earthquakes interrupting the classes. But we kept going in between and after the quakes and shakes. (I will post works that the pupils have made last term in the Gallery) and today we made a start with the lessons for Term 3
We are all making a 3D house box !
(example is the box I made for a friend a little while ago)

Monday

Jointed Paper-Dolls

We had fun, drawing, painting, cutting and embellishing
these paperdolls before adding the joints
They now live in their little fun booklets all folded up, but when the pages opens... they can stretch their limbs !

Saturday

Great for Mums who want to do some undisturbed last minute shopping.
The children will be making a Christmas themed mixed media painting
and if time permits a few Bits an Baubles on the side.

Yummie Paper

After the paint dried completely I cut the big sheets into strips...
in preparation for...
next class when we'll be sewing them into little journal booklets....
How cool is that ?
Look at the yummie colours the kids chose and the patterns they came up with !

Friday

We're making little Art journals !

-example-

At the moment the kids in my Monday afternoon Journalling Workshop are making their own art journals, and we're going to fill them up as well !
It's fun, it's exciting, it's paint and paper and stuff !
